Thesis Project

The thesis is an important part of the architecture curriculum. The objective of the thesis is to equip students with an ability to generate an innovative design thought based on research and detail it out to the extent so that it can convey the intent and process leading to the final design.   It is the reflection of the knowledge of students that they had gained in five years. It is expected that students demonstrate an ability of holistic and comprehensive thinking in the areas of site planning, structural consideration, spatial planning, building services, sustainable architecture, etc.

Urban design is the design of towns and cities, streets and spaces. It is the collaborative and multi-disciplinary process of shaping the physical setting for life – the art of making places. Urban design involves the design of buildings, groups of buildings, spaces and landscapes, and establishing frameworks and procedures that will deliver successful development by different people over time.
